Strawberry-Rose Almond Latte

A highly requested recipe! I am finally posting the recipe to my strawberry-rose almond latte that I posted on my Instagram. I made this in December during a snow day, and fell in love with it. Not only is it pretty to look at, but it's delicious to drink as well! The beautiful pink color comes from the frozen strawberries I used, but you can use frozen raspberries as well. If you try this recipe, let me know!

Strawberry-Rose Almond Latte

STRAWBERRY-ROSE ALMOND LATTE
Yields: 1 serving

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup of sweetened vanilla almond milk

- 2 teaspoons of rosewater
- 2 large frozen strawberries (may be replaced with a handful of frozen raspberries)
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons of wildflower honey

TO MAKE:
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, rosewater, strawberries, and vanilla.
2. Give everything a good mix and allow to boil gently until the strawberries have softened and broken down a bit.
3. Reduce heat to a simmer and use a wooden spoon to break down the strawberries even more. Allow to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool a bit before transferring to a blender to blend until the mixture is smooth.
5. Using a strainer, strain the mixture to get rid of leftover strawberry bits and chunks.
6. Add in the honey to the milk mixture and blend again.
7. Return the mixture to the saucepan to heat up.
8. Serve hot with dried rose petals if desired. Enjoy!
